Staffield’s Hometown

Staffield was born in China, that is what his label says, but his journey really began in Penrith, Cumbria in the Lake District of England.

While on a mini-holiday in the UK, I visited a charming little shop.  I am not one to buy or collect stuffed animals, but for some reason, this little panda caught my eye.  I scooped him up toted him with me the rest of our journey.

On this mini-break, my travel companion booked us at the Staffield Hall http://www.staffieldhall.co.uk in Penrith.  The area is quite scenic and peaceful, here is how the owners of Staffield Hall describe the surroundings, “the Lake District in Cumbria is a beautiful part of England. The Lakes are within easy reach as is Hadrians Wall, the North Yorkshire Dales and the Northern Pennines. Visitors to the area have a choice of quality, cosy pubs, fine restaurants and charming villages to visit…”

On the way home, back to the States, I shot a photo of Staffield onboard the airplane, this was when I had an epiphany; take Staffield with me on all my trips and snap a photo of him traveling!  Thus started the story of Staffield and the madness that is a grown woman taking portraits of a stuffed panda in various places including the beach on honeymoon, the Leaning Tower of Pisa, Vegas, The Statue of Liberty and more.  Check out Staffield’s photos on Facebook- http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=85106699470&v=photos&ref=ts#!/group.php?gid=85106699470

Here are some photos of Staffield Hall and Staffield on his first transatlantic flight.
